We began selling compressed air filters in 1976 and witnessed the first aftermarket versions of air compressor filters, with handwritten OEM part numbers on the boxes. After nearly 50 years, we have determined the best filter manufacturers to use, and which suppliers to stay away from. 

The Problem:

A customer contacted us about cost issues with their Finite filter elements as the OEM version is very expensive. They were providing special filter housings that used the Finite filter elements, but had major problems with a current supplier of aftermarket filters. The filter elements were different lengths!  The customer could not sell these filters to their end users. 

The Solution:

We avoid this major manufacturer due to prior issues and found a version for the customer with consistent dimensions. (It wasn't hand cut to length.) The customer was happy, but due to the design of their filter housing, they were asking for a different endcap design that created a better seal. We ended up providing a new version of their filter with custom molded endcaps. They purchase thousands of this filter element every year.

Just a reminder that not all compressed air filters are equal. Many air compressor filters are made in China and are not of the same quality as Filter Element Store brand filters. Since 1976, we have weeded out the bad manufacturers so you don't have to!
