Description
The Hankison U3-17 replacement filter element is an ultra-high efficiency coalescing filter designed to remove extremely fine oil aerosols, water aerosols, and solid particulate from compressed air systems. It is a direct aftermarket replacement for the Hankison U3-17 element used in large-capacity Hankison compressed air filter housings.
The U3 grade is intended for applications requiring very clean compressed air downstream of a general-purpose or high-efficiency prefilter. Hankison specifies UF/U3 filtration as its ultra-high efficiency oil removal stage, with 0.01 micron particle retention and extremely low remaining oil content.
This replacement element is manufactured for proper fit, low pressure drop, and dependable coalescing performance in demanding industrial compressed air applications.

Use the Hankison U3-17 as the final coalescing stage where very low oil aerosol carryover and fine particulate removal are required. For best performance and service life, the element should be protected by the appropriate upstream filtration and replaced according to system operating conditions and maintenance intervals.
