Parker Filtration has slowly been purchasing major filter manufacturers and taking over the industrial filtration market. Popular brands such as Balston Filters are now owned by Parker, and a Balston 100-12-BX part number may now be referred to as a Parker 100-12-BX. We still refer to them as Balston filters.
In 2016, Parker Hannifin paid 4.3 billion dollars to purchase filtration group Clarcor. That move was expected to double their annual filter sales from 1.2 billion to 2.6 billion dollars which makes up 20% of the companies total sales.
